Performance Engineering / PLAB:- Provided infrastructure support (essentially Dev/Ops) for performance benchmarking, virtualization proof of concepts, FlexLab setups, VM creations, filesystems and load balancers, MQ messaging, monitoring and metrics collection, configuration management, organic server management (OSM) automation, FlexLab and iLab (integration lab) scheduling, and puppet server adminstration.- Supported cloud migration proof of concepts with Openshift/AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments involving authentication, storage, microservices and distributed computing, sql and nosql databases, autoscaling in GCE and GKE, monitoring and alerts, serverless and CI/CD.- Managed groups of up to 25 people during titular manager absences.- Architected Self-Service Performance Test (Performance testing as a service) for on premise, AWS cloud, and GCP cloud environments, managing roadmap, user story development, architectural strategy, agile management, supervision, and development of automation test ware, preventing numerous Sev 1/2 incidents and minimizing production downtime.- Established virtualization framework for PLAB establishing processes for VmWare configuration and administration, enabling conversions from physical hardware to VMs.- Mentored team members on virtualization, PLAB infrastructure, performance metrics, and various projects, ensuring optimal performance of mission critical systems.- Designed and maintained Performance Engineering Training Portal, PLAB documentation of best practices on wiki, SharePoint, and Teams; conducted multiple Performance Engineering Theory classes companywide, raising performance issues awareness of ⅓ of company’s developers.
