I teach Spanish, Architecture, and Board Game Design classes online to homeschooled students through Aim Academy Online. I create the courses, conduct weekly live class sessions online, and grade student work and give feedback.

I have fulfilled a variety of roles at the Department of Education, and each has prepared me to do a better job at the next. I simultaneously worked as the World Languages Specialist and Course Systems Specialist, but later switched to the Home School Office, where I have been able to use my knowledge of course offerings and requirements to help homeschool families and the schools that interact with them.

As Foreign Language Specialist at the Arkansas Department of Education, I worked with foreign language teachers around the state to support them in their efforts. I also oversaw the revision of the Arkansas World Language Standards. I was a member of various state and national committees, and worked to support my Curriculum and Instruction team as well as many other efforts beyond my team at ADE. I was involved in site observations, reviewing grant proposals, and participating in job interviews, among other projects.

I taught online Spanish classes to high schools students throughout the state of Arkansas for two years, and then worked two more years as an adjunct teacher. I have also developed online courses in Blackboard and Moodle for Virtual Arkansas.

I taught Spanish classes via compressed interactive video to high school students around the state of Arkansas. I have also been very involved in the creation of educational materials, including video series for Arkansas on iTunes University, various tutorial programs, and many training materials. I served for three years as president of the Personnel Policies Committee, mentored two new teachers, and assisted with hiring new foreign language teachers.
