The systems modeling team is responsible for modeling the current and next generation OneWeb systems, including capacity, coverage, network backhaul. Our mission is to provide analysis and insights to guide the business planning and system development of the OneWeb constellation, ground systems, and planning systems.Technologies we model for our constellations include digital beam forming, beam hopping, on board processing, and intersatellite links.We also apply a variety of demand models for mobility, consumer, enterprise, cell backhaul, and other markets for business analysis and constellation design.Personally, I -Developed a computationally efficient model for defining and calculating system loading in a fixed beam LEO system-Developed a satellite power/thermal model for our unregulated bus architecture, which was used to determine the usable system capacity under a variety of demand and satellite conditions-Provided design and guidance help for the central OneWeb network planning system-Link budget subject matter expert-Architected a detailed operational concept of the next generation beam hopping system, and guided the gen 2 modeling effort to show its efficacy-Ran extensive trades on coverage, capacity, constellation design, UT elevation angle, and satellite capacity for investors, business development, sales, and engineering-Developed demand models and system performance estimates from varied and sometime ambiguous customer data for capacity sales-Drove changes to OTA interface design, planning systems, and other system aspects based on the team's modeling results
