From August 2008 to June 2014 I was employed as a full time ESL teacher and Teacher Coordinator at the above-mentioned school. I taught ESL English to students of Junior High School and Senior High School, from years 7 to 12. As well as teaching I was responsible for writing tests and examinations, and continuous monitoring of students’ progress and the training and overseeing of the other members of the department

Key Achievements1) Organising and maintaining a team of Native Speaker teachers from diverse backgrounds and placing them in Penabur schools within Jakarta and beyond.2) Liaising with and teaching in the UPI (Curtin) University3) Reducing the high turnover of teachers which was previously as high as 60% to around 15%.From August 2006 to August 2008 I was employed as Teacher Coordinator at UPI in the Christian Foundation Program. This is a program whereby Native Speaker teachers are employed in PENABUR schools throughout Jakarta, Bandung, Cirebon, Bogor, Bandar Lampung, and Cianjur. I was responsible for coordinating teachers in schools in all these areas with the exception of Bandung and Cianjur. My job was similar in position and duties to that of a DOS except that I was required to administrate over a wider area. I had to ensure that teachers were in the right place and teaching to required standards with the required materials. This means that I had to coordinate closely with them and also the PENABUR foundation. It was a job which needed a lot of application and forward planning. I had to ensure that teachers maintained the highest possible standards while adhering to the policies and principles of the PENABUR foundation.
