I have been employed full time since 04/09/2018 by Birmingham Children's Trust as an 18+ Careleaver Personal Adviser. as a self employed flooring contractor for 22yrs. A role i believe is vital to young people leaving care and into society as a tenage adult.I have also been a part-time youth support worker and peer mentor for 15yrs. I have worked for Dudley, Walsall and now Birmingham city Councils.I graduated Newman University with a 1:1 Youth And Community BA honours degree and intend to complete a Social Work Masters Degree by 2021.My ambition is to move into Youth Services sector full time to effect change in our Social Care Policy delivery to the most vulnerable in Society.I left school with 6 grade 2 CSE's and 1 O'level. I did not have the opportunity to continue Higher Education due to economic deprivation and a lack of opportunities at the time. My ambitition is to inspire the disadvadvantaged to look beyond their humble beginnings and create brighter futures for themselves.
