Getting an opportunity in this organisation has made me become passionate in creating social change. I am dedicated to advocating for the rights of people.I have had the opportunity to join the economic empowerment department and Governance,Peace and Security department and l got to come up with three concept notes and one theory of change. I have the opportunity also to plan for a program with Plan International on Save and Inclusive Program. I have managed to be at the forefront of advocating against harmful child practiced during the Day of the African Child. I have come up with several key messaging posters on peace especially with the election process. I have managed to unpack the articles in the charter on African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance(ACDEG). I was also granted a chance to partner with the African Youth Senate which is a partner of Horn of Africa in the launching of the Kenyan Youth Manifesto. I was also able to attend several webinars under gender. For instance, African Young Women Political Leadership Summit.I managed to attend a training which is in the Make Way program under African Youth Transformation on Social Inclusion.I have been able to do some capacity strengthening courses i.e. Personal safety and security, Introduction to Child Protection, Stress Management and Mental Health for Everyone, and Proposal Writing.I have managed to do courses on Creating a Theory of Change and also Planning for Monitoring and Evaluation.

I was granted an opportunity to volunteer at this organisation which is in partnership with Kilulu Orphanage. I was able to help the doctor do the morning rounds in administering medicine as well as do both digital and physical filing at the dispensary. Together with some physiotherapists l would as well help in administering physiotherapy to the children especially the children diagnosed with celebral palsy.We took care of children that needed specialized attention due to Mental Health, Autism, Hearing Impared and Celebral Palsy as well as Slow Learners.We offered night tuition to children at the Kilulu Orphanage and made sure they had their meals on time, had enough rest as well as stayed disciplined.

I was able to get an opportunity under the prehistoric site in Mombasa at Fort Jesus where l worked in the administration as a clerk but l enjoyed taking the visitors for a tour and with time l was able to become both a clerk and a tour guide. I got to learn about the history behind the site and was able to convey the information to both schools and individual guests. On an average about 100 guests visit the site per day and on a holiday about 500 guests visit and quite a number of schools join as well. We were able to take the guests around Old Town as well and occasionally took them to the North Coast to visit Vasco Da Gama Pillar and the Gedi Ruins as well as South Coast to visit the Shimoni Caves.

I was also able to increase my typing speed from 40 words per minute to 58 words per minute. I was also able to learn how to be fluent and proffesional in emails and being precise to the point. I was able to explore and learn more on Microsoft Word including writing essays and inserting objects such as tables and also how to send fax using the printer.
