David is a self-motivated, highly driven individual with a decade of Facilities Management experience. Previous roles have included 3 years as FM of a Warehouse & Distribution Centre for a leading UK publications group Reed Elsevier. He then spent 7 years as FM for Top 40 UK Law Firm Weightmans LLP working his way up to National FM managing the firms Real Estate Portfolio responsible for creating and managing a £9 million budget and managing a team of Office Managers, Client Services assistants, General Office Assistants and a Facilities Team across the country supporting the firms office’s. Other duties included managing projects from acquiring office space, to office fit out, office re-locations and Dilapidations. David is a qualified Prince 2 Practitioner as well as holding a Degree in Business Management and has the IOSH Managing Safely accreditation. In the Summer of 2013 David wanted a new challenge and relocated from the UK to Dubai where he switched from the client side to Service Provider. David is currently working for the UAE’s Leading Facilities Management company Emrill, initially managing 3 communities for the UAE’s largest Developer Emaar in Downtown Dubai. Here David has gained experience in managing one site in the Transition stage and another in the Defects Liability where David has been driving the contractor to complete the project to the required standard and specification on behalf of his client. In February 2014 David has been given a new role and the responsibility of becoming the Facilities Manager for all Downtown Sites, so is now responsible for 8 Communities.He is fast becoming a well-rounded Facilities Management professional with diverse and varied experience. His excellent Leadership qualities and People skills enable him to get the best out of a team and work with all levels of the hierarchy and with existing and new clients.
