Opens all Machine Shop job files upon receipt of purchase orders. Reviews purchase order documents for product details including all MIL-Spec's, Coded Notes, Appendices and Drawings. Determines all required materials needed for every Machine Shop job. Creates RFQ's (request for quotes), Job Req's (job requirements) and PO's (purchase orders) to procure all needed materials. Determines best course of action to complete all phases of every project within monetary and hourly budgets by requested completion dates.

Design various Virginia Class sub-marine furniture such as but not limited to: storage lockers, metal joiner doors, safes and gully areas. Develops detailed manufacturing drawings. Prepare drawings per Naval and Shipbuilder’s requirements. Write programs for CNC machine, LASER cutting machine and PLASMA cutting machine. Develop project files including lay out drawings and any other data necessary to complete the job order. Actively maintain and update drawing files. Give guidance to Sheet Metal Mechanics, Team Supervisors, and Shop Foreman, with regard to manufacturing instructions.
