Blue Blaze Consulting offers non-profit organizations and public agencies expertise and added capacity to explore new ventures, seek additional revenue sources, and more effectively serve their clients. Blue Blaze assists organizations to pursue opportunities – such as federal grant funding – without having to hire additional staff or strain existing resources. Blue Blaze also assists organizations in forging new paths through the development of business plans and the facilitation of strategic planning. Satisfied clients include Carilion Clinic, United Way of Roanoke Valley, Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Boys & Girls Clubs of SW Virginia and the Virginia Department of Health.I established Blue Blaze Consulting in 2015 after more than 30 years of non-profit management experience in Boston, Washington DC, and Roanoke. My various leadership positions range from serving as Mid-Atlantic Regional Deputy Director for Amnesty International in the 1980s to serving as President & CEO from Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge in Roanoke. I've also served on boards and committees for dozens of local, state and national non-profit organizations, often serving as Board Chair. My awards for distinguished service include the Commonwealth Leadership Award "in recognition of valuable contributions to the women of Virginia" from the Virginia Federation of Business and Professional Women and the national Innovation Award from Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
