The AMETEK Sensors and Fluid Management Systems Business Unit designs and manufactures aircraft sensors for both the military and commercial markets, with a complete sensor suite that measures anywhere in the aircraft. Our product portfolio consists of high-temperature thermocouples, speed sensors, fuel gauging systems, fuel level and temperature sensors, lube oil level and temperature sensors, hydraulic level and temperature sensors, waste water level sensors, fuel flow meters and flow switches, pressure sensors, pressure switches, accelerometers, angle of attack, other air data system sensors and cables and harnesses. Financial business partner for the Business Unit Vice President and staff ensuring that the financial goals for the Business Unit are met. This included operations finance support for manufacturing plants in Wilmington MA, Reynosa Mexico, and Irvine CA. Proactively evaluated the results of operations, identified trends/risks/opportunities and implemented actions to ensure that the Business Unit met its financial commitments. Completed financial analysis and due diligence for new business opportunities and capital investments. Directed preparation of Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Plan, and Monthly rolling forecasts. Responsible for full P&L and Balance Sheet and maintained effective internal controls to ensure protection of assets, and accurate revenue recognition/financial reporting. Provided technical financial advice, and monitored accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and GAAP.

Reported directly to the Vice President of Finance with dotted line financial business partner support to the Vice Presidents of Global Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain Management, and Quality/Regulatory. Provided financial planning, analysis and management reporting for four domestic plants and one international manufacturing plant, as well as three Far East contract manufacturing sites. Served as Finance lead member of the team that successfully completed Phase 2 Oracle implementation for manufacturing, inventory control and accounts payable in 2009.

Responsible for program finance, financial planning, general accounting, cost accounting and tax administration functions for wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation. Established and maintained accounting policies, procedures, financial controls in accordance with GAAP, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Presented financial and program cost analysis to Lockheed Martin senior management at quarterly program reviews. Implemented Lockheed Martin financial tools including SAP financial system, Hyperion planning system, LM People Payroll, travel expense reporting and treasury. Site Ethics Officer from December 2004 to December 2007.

Reported directly to the CFO, responsible for program finance, financial planning, general accounting, cost accounting and tax administration functions for private equity owned defense electronics manufacturer. Established monthly financial reviews for Management Team and improved the Financial Planning and Analysis function by implementing more robust budgeting tools and processes. Successfully integrated 3 acquisitions, which increased annual sales by 40% over a 3 year period. Supported due diligence activities for private equity investment by the Carlyle Group in 2002. Prepared management presentations and due diligence data for sale of Sippican, Inc. to Lockheed Martin Corporation in 2004.

Reported to Senior Vice President of Manufacturing. Managed cost accounting and inventory control systems for three domestic and three international manufacturing facilities. Developed, implemented, and monitored internal controls. Previously served as Finance Manager, Scotland Operations from May 1994 to September 1996. In this role, reported to the Director of Scotland Operations. Developed and implemented all accounting and IT systems for the start-up of the manufacturing and distribution operation that supported European market. Obtained Capital Grants and Training Grants from the Scottish Office and Lanarkshire Development Agency. Trained all accounting, manufacturing, and distribution personnel. Established banking relationship with Royal Bank of Scotland.

Responsibilities included monthly and quarterly general ledger closings, accounts receivable analysis, development of sales and cost of sales forecasts, and preparation of divisional financial statement package for $ 80M Division.
