As the Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) lead subject matter expert for one of the largest financial advice businesses in Australia, I provided expert insights and solutions to advisers assisting clients with high net worth and complex scenarios. In addition, my opinion and analysis were sought after by advisers, businesses, media and professional associations throughout Australia. I had a regular segment on Sky Business, wrote for a variety of publications including the Australian Financial Review and Sydney Morning Herald and had regular columns in a number of hard copy published industry magazines. During this time, I presented on the subject of SMSFs to advisors, accountants, lawyers and clients across Australia and had the pleasure of being a speaker for the SMSF Association on numerous occasions, including at the National Conferences.

Publicly-listed Fiducian Portfolio Services assisted me in my transition from an IT related career to a career in financial advice. I commenced as a paraplanner and went on to lead the paraplanning team there. After gaining exposure to a number of roles within financial advice through Fiducian's broad offering, I determined that my passion for digging into the intricacies of complex strategies was well suited to the requirements of a Technical Services role. I spent three years as a Technical Service Consultant with Fiducian, gaining experience through the requirements of the role as well as through involvement in industry groups and professional bodies.

Worked within the broader IT team to ensure the continuing efficient and reliable operation of this critical wholesaler which is Australia’s largest supplier of pharmaceutical products

After Ireland’s largest motor insurer was acquired by AXA I was contracted to assist in upgrading the systems development processes and procedures to AXA’s “Best Practice”. I also led a team of 5 to create a new premium calculation system to bring them in line with AXA actuarial standards.

Working out of the Netherlands, I worked on multiple projects improving the European-wide logistical operations of this Fortune 100 companies including the consolidation of the 95 regional warehouses to 5 super distribution centres for all the continent. This role offered me the opportunity to work across a number of countries with a variety of nationalities both within and outside their native countries.
