I have been in private practice since completing my doctorate in 1974. I began my training in EMDR Therapy in 1993. Since then I have been an enthusiastic and busy EMDR Therapist. I also have been helping train therapists in EMDR (since 1995) as a Facilitator in EMDR training events (supervising the experiential practice part of EMDR training). Since 1996 I have been an EMDR International Association Approved Consultant. In September 2011 I closed my very practice in Houston, Texas. and moved to Madison, Wisconsin. I then opened small private practice. In December 2018 I retired for the second time - except for being an EMDR Training Facilitator for the EMDR Institute and for Trauma Recovery/EMDR-Humanitarian Assistance Programs. I worked primarily with adults on an individual basis. I do not work with children, but do see with adolescents. I refer requests for EMDR Therapy for children to other EMDR-trained therapists in the Madison area.EMDR changed my life as a therapist. I've seen hundreds "healing miracles" with EMDR. This fills me with awe and gratitude. I continue to love being an EMDR Therapist.Being retired, I now have more time to be a Facilitator for EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs (EMDR-HAP) training events. The EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs offers training in EMDR Therapy at reduced rates to employees of reduced-fee mental health agencies as well as providing direct service in times of disasters. In 2005 I spent 2-1/2 weeks in Chennai, India. This was an EMDR-HAP training event following the December 2004 Indonesian tsunami.
