Ex-serviceman with experience of working abroad and offshore. Proven track record of working safely under pressure in difficult circumstances. Sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electronic equipment. 10 year experience with AKS Subsea Control Systems in various roles and 5 year experience working as a Subsea Controls Consultant for various operators in the North Sea.I have represented and consulted for Dana, BG Group, ConocoPhillips and Petro-Canada as Client Representative on FPSO’s, Platforms, and DSVs/ROVSV’s. As a Subsea Controls Engineer by skills group, this role has seen me provide engineering support for IRM, pipeline pigging and repair, construction projects such as riser replacement and dynamic umbilical installation. In between offshore campaigns I am based in an engineering consultancy office in Aberdeen. When onshore my role is that of as senior controls/project engineer consultant for several Clients, on both their operated and third party non-operated ventures. I am able to work equally well on my own initiative and in a team environment, with proven skills for managing internal processes and third party contractors to develop projects from concept through to completion.Having worked directly for major operators, I have a firm understanding of client expectations and the experience required to deliver a successful work package in a safe and efficient manner. I have extensive knowledge of both the day to day operation of host installations (from the perspective of Duty Holder) and the contrasting marine/project driven environment on board subsea construction & IRM vessels. This has given me a distinct advantage in successfully managing this interface in the Client or Company Representative role, with proven ability to build a professional trust and rapport between all stakeholders during offshore execution of key workscopes.
