1. Project management and Implementation• Take responsibility for the effective management of the project’s field activities under the FoodTrade Eastern Uganda programme to ensure that outputs are achieved as planned within the agreed budget, and that all donor and government conditions are understood and respected, and any necessary adjustments are anticipated, planned for and processed on time.• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project work plans and budgets. Monitor and adjust these against progress and changing needs.• Support the preparation of overall project quarterly, annual and other progress reports as per requirements and standards.• Manage day-to-day relationships with partners, maintaining cordial relations, and ensuring they have the support they need.• Produce reports/articles and other information as requested by the Senior Programme Manager / Farm Africa management team• Prepare field visits for visitors and networking events2. M&E, knowledge and policy/practice influence• Oversee effective project monitoring and evaluation consistent with donor requirements and guidelines• Support the identification and evidencing of lessons learned, and their use and dissemination; assist on production of key knowledge dissemination materials (technical and non-technical).• Ensure that data collection plans are produced and implemented, regularly reviewed and refreshed, and the project is collecting accurate information as required, on time and in line with requirements, including survey case studies, photographs, etc.• Represent the organization and the project in appropriate fora for publicity, public relations, profiling and learning purposes. Establish, strengthen and manage relationships with other relevant bodies in Uganda.3. Other• Support Farm Africa’s Country Representative in Uganda to develop the overall Uganda programme.• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Programme Manager / Farm Africa management team.
