As the Advertising Product/Systems Manager I am responsible for the development and ongoing oversight of the suite of print and digital advertising products in the Yakima Herald-Republic's product portfolio - achieving revenue and audience market share objectives. This role is instrumental in helping the company achieve new business/product/revenue goals via existing and new products.This role also manages the day-to-day operations and support of all integrated systems for the Advertising Sales department and other departments as appropriate. This includes being first line of training and support for all technical, business analytics, tactical training and workflow related to the BrainWorks application and its operation. Additionally this role is responsible for the administration of the Advertising portion of our current CMS, CRM and commercial vertical platforms.

As the Manager of the Central Marketing and Interactive Services group I lead a creative team in designing all marketing materials for the Yakima Herald-Republic’s affiliate group. Along with marketing duties I am also tasked with all online advertising design and special publication design and layout. In addition to the creative aspect of the department I work closely with the Advertising Sales Department to create online sales proposals and to develop and maintain a number of newspaper and commercial website products.

In the position of Ad Services/Creative Production Manager I was responsible for all employees in the Ad Services department, maintaining the schedules and workload, and ensuring that everyone worked together successfully as a team and stayed on task. In addition to the manager duties I was also responsible for designing print and online advertising campaigns for clients, and designing special publications of the Yakima Herald-Republic, while also continuing my previous role as Special Projects Associate.

As the Special Projects Associate I was tasked with a wide variety of duties, created all promotional and marketing materials for the Yakima Herald-Republic to be used in house and in outside marketing campaigns, developed new workflow processes to streamline production systems, maintained the traffic for all online advertising campaigns on the Yakima Herald-Republic’s suite of sites, developed and built new online platforms while helping to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the current system.

While working in the Ad Services department I was responsible for photo manipulation/processing, designing and creating advertising campaigns for a variety of clients in print and online, and designing and laying out special publications including Yakima Magazine, Playdate Magazine,Yakima Valley Brides, and Discover Yakima.
