Attached to operations, Actuarial and Business Development Departments where I performed various roles as● Claims uploading and review; during my attachment period in the operations department, I interacted with a number of claims from clients. I was able to verify the claims if they are properly filled, upload them in the Company’s landing page as well as reviewing them in the dashboard.● Data analysis skills; I worked closely with the Actuarial Department where I took part in the review of various documents and modules using Excel. I gained skills in data cleaning, analysis as well as presentation which included creations of dashboard. I also gained skills in R programming.● Scouting for Clients; In the Business Development, I took part in scouting for a number of clients and also made calls to different clients explaining to them the details of the product our company deals in. ● Research Work; I undertook a number of research work pertaining to the Insurance Sector, various regulations by IRA as well as the general outlook of the insurance in the country and outside, which was beneficial to the Company in doing its operations. Also researched various Companies and new products which was important to the Business Development Department.● Attended webinars and meetings organized by KEPSA, as directed by the Company, where a number of topics were discussed by various speakers. The topics included risk analysis, grants funding among other key topics. In the end, I was awarded Certificates of participation. The webinars boosted my knowledge in broader aspects of the economy. I also attended meetings organized by our partners i.e., Jubilee Insurance, APA among others and this enabled me to understand more on their products as well as their operations.
