Our work here at AkuPalma is to support installation companies and engineers convert Yachts and Superyachts safely and effectively using new technologies. Specifically the use of Lithium and solar products to increase the quality of life aboard whilst reducing pollution and noise.We work across a huge range of vessels from full blown Hybrid Superyachts, full electric vessels, right down to simple day boat upgrades.Our mission is to reduce environmental impact whilst improving reliability and quality of life aboard. The more we can give installation companies and their customers the support and confidence to make these choices, the more of a difference we can make.Personnally I have spent a lifetime of engineering in the Marine industry across various fields.Across all aspects, engineering, refit, or the supply of new vessels, my primary focus has always been the same. I try to have a project where the owners end up happy and in balance with both the boat and the environment.Originally I trained as boat builder, designer, later continuing with crewing and becoming a serial boat owner with significant offshore sailing experience. Being a yacht owner and long range sailor brings quite a different twist to our projects. Livability and balance onboard is always backed up with a solid eye on the environmental impact caused by the vessel. This has finally become a much more important part of our industries future. The materials and equipment we have available to acheive this is now rapidly changing our industry.Many people still talk of these ideas being the future, but we can assist implimenting these solutions today. It is very rewarding being in a position where we can assist this much needed change.
