Research Specialist in Dr. Scott Keeney's lab, Molecular Biology Program, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, USA). I am interested in DNA damage repair, more specifically the one triggered by Topoisomerases (targets of drugs used in chemotherapy) and during meiotic recombination (by SPO11, a Topo relative, and friends). One project led me to the microcosmos of piRNAs and PIWI proteins and how they achieve retrotransposon silencing for keeping the germline alive.I have expertise in Molecular and Cell Biology & Genetics techniques:-> Genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 knockout screens and single KO generation.-> Proteomics: Liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry systems using tandem mass tags (sample multiplexing).-> Cell culture: Establishing, maintenance, clonal selection, and genome editing of mammalian cell lines (MEFs, HeLa, RPE-1, HEK-293).-> Mouse model systems: Design, characterization, and utilization of conditional KO, and doxycycline-inducible expression models.-> Molecular Biology: Western blot, Molecular cloning, transformation, deletion, tagging, DNA isolation... -> Microbiology (yeast & bacteria).-> Microscopy: general use of wide-field fluorescence microscopes and open-source image processing software (Fiji) for in vivo and immunofluorescence techniques.-> Flow cytometry/sorting.
