Following K9 Buddy’s medical retirement, he was enrolled in Paws of Honor, a 501C3 run by the Old Dominion Animal Health Center in McLean, VA. The goal of Paws of Honor is to provide quality veterinary care to retired military and police working dogs at no cost to the handlers (based on donations). I was so impressed by their compassion and dedication to our K9 partners that I did not hesitate when they asked for volunteers.
