Responsible for identifying Service Areas and Coordinated Distribution of relief items throughout the state of Georgia and nearby states, as part of Red Cross coordinated Disaster Preparedness.

Deployed in response to Joplin tornado, Minot flooding, Hurricane Irene, Tropical Storm Debby, Hurricane Isaac and Hurricane Sandy.Through my experience with the American Red Cross in these disasters, I have gained extensive experience in the following areas:• Sales/PromotionSelling the American Red Cross and it’s mission to potential donors and volunteers.Meeting with donors, explaining what has been achieved and thanking them for theirsupport. Educating potential volunteers on the Red Cross through Open Houses, one-on-one communications and educational courses.• ManagementManaging and gaining the confidence of between 8 and 80 volunteers from different backgrounds, experience levels and of different ages. In many cases the volunteers were years older than myself. At the end of my deployment, writing reviews and recommendations for all personnel under my supervision. Writing recommendations for how our response can be improved in the future. • OrganizationIn very difficult and fluid circumstances, setting-up warehousing, transportation and distribution. Ensuring day-to-day distribution of aid, resupplying and route management. Maintaining records and reports to be sent to National Headquarters.• LiaisonWorking with Police, Fire Departments, Social Services and other disaster relief organizations to maximize our efforts and ensure effective and clear communications.• PlanningServing on the Sheltering Committee, Disaster Services Committee and Georgia State Disaster Committee to ensure that Georgia and surrounding States are prepared in case of disaster.

In charge of day to day operations of 22 year-old family business involved in breeding, selling and promoting high value horses to U.S. and international clientele. Responsibilities included:Sales and marketing using print, internet and social media.Up-keep of extensive and detailed records of horses (health, breeding, sales)Working with Farriers and Veterinarians to provide first-class care.Management of farm staff.Developing long term business goals and objectives.

As part of "Just Jerusalem 2050" worked to develop a rainwater harvesting program to aid both Palestinians and Israelis address the growing water shortage in their region.
