As part of a consulting team, performed the following a several clients using SQL server 2008 and R2,Created, modified, deployed, and troubleshot SSIS packages, Cubes(SSAS) and Reports (SSRS)

Responsibilities include implementation of all SQL Server technologies, all database administration including database performance, disaster recovery and development of Analysis Services OLAP Cubes and Reporting Services Reports. Team Lead role with mentor junior DBA Developers and working with Software developers.Accomplishments:• Designed and implemented a warm standby server using log shipping and replication• Design several complex SQL queries for SSRS reports.• Oversaw the successful migrated all Data warehouse SQL Servers from 2005 to 2008 R2• Developed a log shipping solution so reports could be run on a production copy of data, this was later changed to replication when we upgraded to SQL Server 2005• Implemented Replication to replace existing log shipping to report server• Converted all databases to SQL Server 2005• Implemented SQL Server cluster• Redesigned main database to off load documents from one table to a database of partitioned tables, putting older data onto read only file groups• Developed several SSIS packages for the import and export of data• Assisting developers stored procedure and SSIS design.• Troubleshoot performance issues. Recommended SQL Sentry• Enhanced and extended existing OLAP Cube by combining cubes together and adding additional subject matter• Migrated 2005 data warehouse to a SQL server 2008 on a VM server with SAN storage• Automated several DBA tasks via PowerShell: Daily Email a condensed lists of failed jobs, free space report, daily VLF Alert email, daily SQL Log summary with DBCC

Hired to create and maintain a data warehouse from an existing reporting database. Analyzed requirements from business units and created the data model, data scheme and ETL. Orchestrated total life cycle development of data warehouse (including web site traffic, job data, resume data, financial and sales data) consisting of SQL Server Database and MicroStrategy DSS reporting. Held full responsibility for gathering requirements, data modeling, logical and physical database scheme, ETL (including Stored Procedures, VBA, VB Script and shell scripts) and report creation.• Created data warehouse that eventually included three data marts.• Enabled a better understanding of job seekers and customers through the creation of the data warehouse.• Improved query performance by migrating Warehouse from SQL 7 to SQL 2000.
