Responsible for Academy delivery, this includes schemes of work and course mapping. Also act as lead assessor and conduct teaching and learning observations on training providers.The Academy represents the Lift Truck Industry and training is focused around the student and employer, this requires a flexible approach and I produce training schemes that are unique to each employer.

• Deliver all aspects of NVQ Assessment to a caseload of up to 60 students, on – Light and Heavy Vehicle, Lift Truck, Motorcycle, Auto Electrics and Vehicle Parts.• Provide training to students in their place of work.• Work on National contracts with companies such as – Porsche, Royal Mail, Ryder, Fraikin, Jungheinrich and others. Acting as the focal point for all issues regarding their apprentices training, both in organised training sessions and their place of work.• Assess and advise on Health and Safety where the apprentice is involved

• Managed a workshop of sixteen trades personnel with the responsibility for all aspects of the maintenance and repair of a mixed commercial vehicle fleet of circa 300 vehicles of varying types.• Ensured on-going personal development of all personnel, acting as NVQ assessor and trainer to those working for National Vocational Qualifications.• Supervised the complete relocation of all workshop facilities following a move from Stafford to Peterborough, and established a new facility in a previously empty building.• Monitored all workshop practices to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations including compilation of COSHH and Risk Assessments.• Carried out internal Quality Audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001• Introduced Lean Principles to the workshop.• Supervised and carried out recovery and roadside repair of damaged and disabled vehicles in Europe and the UK.

• Responsible for a twelve strong team servicing and maintaining a mixed fleet of 200 Specialist fuel and General Cargo vehicles.• Travelled Worldwide, working in all environments with minimal equipment, carrying out emergency repairs and routine servicing to all vehicle types.• Ensured that Specialist Fuel Carrying vehicles complied with all aspects of European legislation.• Introduced into Service a new type of Specialist Fuel Delivery Vehicle, which involved close liaison with the vehicle designer and manufacturer.
