My routine activities involve tackling insider threat, counter terrorism and crime at both London Heathrow and London City airports. I hold responsibility for proactively investigating crime both landside and airside and work in collaboration with partner agencies, Border Force and the National Crime Agency as well as commercial partners such as Heathrow Airport Limited, airlines and other aviation service providers. I plan and execute both covert and overt operations to tackle crime and insider threat in the aviation environment. I manage intelligence, ensuring it is assessed and disseminated to the correct agency inaddition to being stored correctly in line with current legislation as well as assessing harm and risk and developing strategies to mitigate these.

Working as part of a borough response team, I was tasked with the immediate management of critical incidents and a wide range of operational activities including proactive and reactive policing. This required a thoughtful and considered approach, often under pressure of time and tight budgetary constraints. I showed the ability to manage a diversity of issues, to influence widely and process information quickly and accurately. I attended numerous serious crime scenes carrying out a primary investigation whilst ensuring the safe handling of evidence and the provision of support to victims and witnesses. Skills within this role obtained included but not limited to the use and carrying of Less Lethal TASER and utilisation of police vehicle in response mode i.e. Blue lights and two tones.Throughout the football season, I worked within the designated control room for Brentford Football Club. Working alongside the match commander and Club Safety Officer I provided continual overview of police resources and monitoring of CCTV to ensure resources are available at the right time and in the right place. This role requires exceptional communication skills, offering clear and accurate guidance to aid the rapid reaction to all emerging threat and risk. I ensure a full intelligence view is available both pre and post match in order to secure robust risk assessment and organisational learning.As a trained public order officer, I policed significant large scale events across London. This role also included proactive response to public unrest, providing fast response to address some of the most challenging, dangerous and high-pressure situations. I demonstrated a calm and thoughtful approach; effectively managing exceptionally demanding and heightened situations.
