I have been with Phoenix Academy since March of 2018. We are an accelerated credit recovery program serving students who are overage and under-credited in the School District of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Phoenix Academy is part of SESI Schools (formerly Camelot Education). I have served in a variety of teaching roles including 7/8 grade English (2018-2021, 2022-2023), 11/12 grade English (2021-2022), and 7/8 math and social studies (fall of 2022). In my current role, I support our building as School Assessment Coordinator for state testing and benchmark testing and by managing the building schedule/coverages, planning and executing professional development, providing instructional coaching and assistance for teachers in grades 7-12, overseeing our school improvement efforts (especially in the areas of math and literacy), and working to sustain a safe, positive, and rigorous building environment where students and staff are seen, heard, valued, and challenged to grow and develop.
