Main objective; To design and sell kitchens.Selling the company's kitchen accessories, dining tables and chairs to create the dream life at home for the customer.Other achievements include but not limited to; Appliance champion- Italy training course to visit the company's appliance manufacturers to gather information to be able to increase appliance conversation rate. To deliver training back at the home store to the rest of the team.Design Projects; Collaborating with the interior design team to produce the stores showroom kitchens which are used to inspire visitors and customers wanting to purchase a kitchen.Individual design project; To design a worktop display stand which showcases the complete range. It was to provide the customer with information and chance to touch and feel the different materials available.

Each day is different, the customers are always asking different questions and their shopping moods varies. Working across the whole of the store and warehouse my key role is to maximise sales. This is done by approaching and talking to customer's finding out if I can be of any assistance and making sure they leave with what they need. When I’m not with customers I am making sure the store is tidy and that items are in correct places with the correct price shown. It is also within my role to promote the company’s Gold Card loyalty scheme to customers advertising deals in order to sell more. After only a short time I have proven myself to be entrusted as a group leader in the yearly stock count. I will be leading five of my colleagues, making sure accuracy and speed of counts is 100% I will also be checking the counts of my team members to make sure an accurate count is achieved, to do this I will be using individual strengths and weaknesses efficiently.

I am entrusted with key responsibilities such as training new members of staffs in order for them to succeed in a target based industry. Whilst training other team members I am still creating an experience for guests and potential customers that is unforgettable. The experience is gained from when demonstrating the different picture poses and the interaction given. It is my job to later sell the guests these pictures as part of an album.

I gained some more valuable experience whilst working at Everest Home Improvements. Though the main objective was to work on a photo library and brochure I also worked alongside their marketing team. It was then that I researched different keywords using search engines to see how easy it was to find their company, I compared them with competitors so that potential customers found them first. My experience within design meant that I was also able to offer assistance and invaluable ideas for up and coming campaigns. Utilising the skills I had gained at university, I applied this to the brand and was able to represent the company online with a strong and appealing website. I gave my opinion upon how to make it more user friendly and accessible to the target market. I then began to research keywords using search engines to, compare them with competitors so that potential customers found them first.

This oppotunity gave me an insite of how it is to start a company from scratch, I was to design and help market the company from the begining. My roles here were to design logos, business cards, online social marketing and html coding.

Here I was to manufacture window productions for shops and exhibitons. I had to complete work by an alloted time so it could be couriered on time to its location. I learnt practicle skills and now have a greater understanding of what is expected in a professional work place.

For restore I created a community funday leaflet which advertises the event. This project allowed me to showcase my talent as a graphic designer and have my work distributed through the doors of a large area. I had to stick to a short time frame but maintain the highest quality in order to work effeciently to meet the brief.
