I initially started as a Parts Counter Assistant dealing with customers, subdealers in Ireland and service engineers where good communication was paramount to ensure that correct parts were ordered minimising down time. I also liaised with suppliers placing orders on behalf of depots as well as place emergency orders with Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe.As my technical knowledge grew I was asked to move to the Service Department as a Technical Parts Coordinator where I dealt with all UK engineers ordering parts for all service jobs as well as subcontractors to create customer quotes as well as insurance repairs. Part of my role was to compile service kit list using Excel for all new models of excavators, this included pricing upon which this is what the National Service Agreement pricing was based.In April 2020 I took up the role as National Stock Controller where I used the system to analyse, raise suggested stock orders and adjust where necessary depending on usage. I also carried out stock checks nationally where possible during COVID. I liaised with suppliers discussing any issues and update the UK depots of any up potential problems.During 2022 I was a member of a Team working on the implementation of the company's new ERP system (Annata / D365 F&O). This is an ongoing project, liaising with the ERP provider to enhance and update processes to improve usability. As part of this role I setup user profiles ensuring the have the relevant access and train users in the use of the system in different aspects of the business. Part of this includes liaising with HCM in Japan as well HCME correcting data migration issues as and when they arise.
