In this role I partner with my client group and key stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the business strategy and implement people solutions that reinforce the desired organisational culture and result in improved workplace and business performance. Achievements include:• Build and maintain co-operative working relationships with all stakeholders.• Deliver timely accurate and helpful workforce management advice.• Work collaboratively with Union officials and delegates to resolve disputes and mitigate grievances.• Manage complex industrial relations activities including grievance and disciplinary matters ensuring outcomes are fair, transparent and consistent with legislative and policy requirements.• Complete strategic planning relating to workplace change, structure and recruitment.• Build leadership capability through coaching.

In this role I provided employees and managers with specialist HR assistance including timely, customised and effective advice, information and support in relation to a range of People and Culture activities. Achievements include:• Provide specialist advice on employee matters, industrial relations, awards and conditions of employment and other P&C related matters.• Undertake disciplinary and grievance investigations and provide performance management coaching and advice.• Contribute to the development, implementation, delivery and continuous improvement of policies, projects and programs to build workforce capability.• Undertake analytical research.• Provide support in workplace change management and workforce planning implementation and strategies.

I performed both project roles to support the transition to the new Central Coast Council organisational structure and harmonize the Human Resource policy, processes and procedures of the former Gosford and Wyong Councils. Achievements include delivery of new organisational structure, define new corporate values, implementation of an interim unified salary scale and development of new Central Coast Council policies.

In this role I provided general HR advice, managed the end to end recruitment process and provided support to a team of HR Officers. Achievements include:• Provide timely accurate HR assistance and advice.• Develop position descriptions and complete job evaluations.• Coordinate high volume recruitment process.• Prepare accurate letters of appointment, briefing notes and general written correspondence.• Provide research support and assistance to HR Officers with investigations, grievance/ dispute resolution and industrial relations matters.• Non-work related injury case management.

In this role I contributed to the development of a new Work, Health and Safety Management System and implemented this system in Council’s Open Space and Leisure Unit. Achievements include:• Interpret legislation and policy to develop a WHS management system, procedures, processes and tools that comply with WHS and Environmental legislation, the National Self Insurers Audit Tool and meet the requirements of Gosford City Council.• Passing WorkCover’s National Self Insurers Audit and maintaining Gosford City Council’s Workers Compensation Self Insurers Licence.
