Calculate various statistical data - quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per manhour and equipmentReview drawings and tender documents to understand scope of work and submission requirementsObtain scopes of work and pricing from subcontractors and suppliersAssist with prequalification submissions, RFQ’s and RFI’sAssist in closing bidsResearch historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimatesPlan and prepare construction schedules and milestonesParticipate in developing project Update and bid package estimate documentsMaintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures

Essential Responsibilities:1) Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.2) Issues written and oral instructions.3) Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.4) Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.5) Maintains harmony among workers.6) Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates7) Adjusts errors and complaints.8) Visits job sites to insure all safety precautions are being implemented.9) Inspects work sites during and after completion to determine quality and completeness.10) Reviews all work order, labor time sheets and material requests for accuracy before submitting to work control for action
