It Project Manager
CurrentNEC provides managed services to the Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) End User Computing account. My role is that of portfolio manager of non-BAU project work in the EUC space. The portfolio consists of around twenty concurrent projects of varying sizes from $2,000 - $1,5m and can last from one week to eighteen months.Due to the varied nature of the projects that can be as simple as arranging resourcing to support a laptop deployment or as complex as a Citrix server and application upgrade across the entire TfNSW cluster, my role encompasses all aspects of the project lifecycle from simple administration to full on project and program management. Reporting to senior management and running steering committees is a standard part of the role.As well as working in Project Delivery I am involved in the pre-sales part of the process and have had on several occasions to create business cases and statements of work. Although not intimately involved in the commercial side of things I am well acquainted with the intricacies of contract interpretation and service agreements. The role has a high degree of autonomy with success measured by customer satisfaction and revenue generated through consistent delivery.
