    I trained candidates for their pilot’s certificates from private to ATP, including CFI and CFII. In 1981 had the privilege of flying the Captain and two wingmen of the magnificent Thunder Birds in our Cessna 177RG. The occasion was for the Thunder Birds to perform an airshow in remembrance of our lost men in the daring rescue attempt that President Carter initiated in Iran. The Thunder Birds had a slow survey flight over the local area prior to the show. Our flight path flew us over the White House, Pentagon, and Arlington Cemetery.
