I am a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of the IMechE with 22 years experience delivering demanding structural solutions in the Off-Highway, Earthmoving and Construction vehicle industry.For the past 20 years I have been responsible for JCB Structures across the globe and head up the core team of Stress Engineers who support the global business with technical expertise.As an investigative Stress / Structures Engineer I am at my best when solving problems by developing innovative solutions and processes.I am passionate about all aspects of Stress / Structures Engineering with specific expertise in Design, Analysis, Field and Rig testing of large welded steel fabrications.Recently I have conclusively shown how real-time multi-domain Virtual Machines or Digital Twins can dramatically reduce time to market at minimal cost, while putting the customer at the heart of the product development process. I have championed the use of simulation across all domains to transform the development of products and challenge long-standing orthodoxies. Since my PhD I have always been passionate about AI and Machine Learning and have successfully deployed these on numerous occasions to generate IP and innovative processes.Aside from my technical achievements I have strong corporate governance experience through my Non-Executive Director at TWI.I am also Chair of the UK NAFEMS Steering Committee.
