As part of the product team, I crafted and guided the corporate messaging for our solutions, products, and services. I collaborated with sales and marketing teams on go-to-market strategy. I defined the buyer's journey and buyer personas for targeted marketing as well as creating and identifying content for all stages of the buyer's journey. I was the primary content creator and provided web content, blog posts, white papers, presentations, data sheets, brochures, a messaging style guide, and more. Part of my role included competitive analysis and creating both internal and external competitive battle cards and positioning. In addition to the product-focused content, I also created thought leadership content for edge computing, cloud computing, hyperconverged infrastructure, and disaster recovery technologies.

In addition to writing and managing software requirements and user stories, my role included research on market trends and trajectory, emerging technologies, and competing solutions. This role also encompassed product marketing responsibilities including writing white papers, training materials, technical marketing articles, blog posts, and more. I was engaged in full software product lifecycle management, packaging, pricing, and market positioning..

For this product marketing role, my primary responsibilities were creating technical sales materials including presentation slides and training for the sales organization on product features and functions, and crafting the core product marketing message for business continuity and disaster recovery solutions. Additional responsibilities included recording product demos, conducting market and competitive research, providing detailed competitive analysis, and filling in as a systems engineer and product expert on sales calls. I was responsible for vetting technologies for business development opportunities and also for creating technical guides for new product integrations. In this role, I created an automated competitive analysis database that could provide competitive data to the field on demand and created monthly tech briefings to support the system engineers and professional services engineers in the field.

My primary role was providing technical training and sales support for international distributors in EMEA, Japan, and AsiaPac. Sales support included training partner sales engineers, answering all technical product questions, and providing training on product positioning, competitive positioning, and demo/POC support.

Heading up a small team of four software QA specialists, I managed the testing of disaster recovery software products on Windows, Solaris, and Netware platforms, including managing performance testing efforts and test automation efforts. In addition to managing the team, my role included software testing, writing test plans and acceptance criteria, and creating a suite of automation tools using bash scripting.
