Phone-Gizmos is a new mobile phone accessories manufacturer, located in Denver, CO. I co-founded this fledgling company with two of my kids to teach them entrepreneurship and help them get their careers started after graduating college. Founder and President of Omnitech Robotics Inc. a company specializing in conducting sponsored and internally funded Research and Development (R&D) and product development. Omnitech has developed and spun-off multiple products and technology companies in market sectors including industrial, military and commercial areas. Originally specializing in precision motion control, Omnitech sold that IP to a flight simulator product company and branched out into military ground vehicle control systems and applications. Mr. Parish then led Omnitech and conducted over $50 million dollars in US military and government R&D, and deployment of over 200 unmanned ground vehicle systems in sizes ranging from two pounds (Toughbot) to over 50 tons (M1 Abrams Panther II). Omnitech Robotics Inc. subsequently sold a portion of its assets and IP to BAE Systems, an international defense leader. Omnitech Robotics was recognized as a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contractor success story by DARPA, and the US Army, and also supported multiple SBIR contracts for NASA, and the U.S. Marine Corp. More recently Omnitech Robotics Inc. is focused on conducting R&D and product development for commercial robotics products and markets. Omnitech specializes in diverse and synergistic aspects of engineering R&D combined with creative and innovative design capabilities. Supported the USAF Next Generation Controller and Low End Controller programs as a systems engineer and system architect. Proposed, won and performed over $6 million in new contracts. Supported the DARPA surrogate semi-autonomous robotic vehicle (Demo II) as hardware design engineer.

Longmont, Co, Us

Developed an omni-directional, all wheel drive, all wheel steer, hybrid gas/electric robotic vehicle for the Navy under an SBIR project. Designed and built 25kW motor controls, alternators, power control electronics, and microprocessor based controls. Designed and built a vehicle based data acquisition system, and hybrid lead-acid/Aluminum-Air battery control system. Designed and built a high power (50kW) DC motor test power supply system, combining an AC/DC generator, large capacitor banks, battery banks, and resistive power absorbers. Responsible for proposal writing and new business development of robotic projects.

Developed motion control systems for X-ray medical imaging systems using bi-plane cardiography. Project manager and design lead on one X-ray medical imaging product, including UL and CSA certification approvals.

Developed a robotic work cell for forming, tinning, and placing high reliability flat pack integrated circuits on PCBs. Led all mechanical, electrical and software engineering design tasks. Supported manufacturing engineering interfaces and production activities of high reliability space shuttle hardware systems.
