I have worked on a variety of systems incorporating mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components and am subsequently trained in the repair and servicing of these systems.I have furthered my career by studying Technical Communication and Authorship at Chippenham College after serving in the Armed Forces for a total of 12 years. My career in technical authorship has led me to acquire new skills in the management and production of project related documentation for a number of key clients. I am now seeking to utilise these skills with future employment as a Senior Technical Author including the responsibility for project managing company projects.I am computer literate and an experienced user of software i.e. Framemaker, SGML, XML, X-Metal & HTML editing programs, Interleaf 6, Microsoft FrontPage, Microsoft Office, PaintShop Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe PDF, Vis Mockup, PDM, Siemens Teamcenter, PLM, Mainframe, PS2000, Arbortext, Epic Editor, Microsoft SourceSafe, VoloView, and others.I have been an advanced level user with Adobe Framemaker+SGML, Epic Editor and have been responsible for developing project application EDD & DTD’s that were used to enable the interaction of documents within the companies own DRUID II, IETM software.Amongst my roles I also have experience of using and teaching SGML, and working in projects dealing with data capture and reproduction where SGML is used as the main editing/production tool.Knowledge of technical publications specifications such as ATA-100, ATA-2200i, AESP, AECMA-S1000D, Simplified English etc.
