After starting in the music retail field, he established the first video department at Sam The Record Man’s historic Yonge Street store in downtown Toronto. From there he went on to work in sales and marketing at video wholesale, subsequently working for Vestron, Cineglobe, C/FP (soon to be Lionsgate) Alliance and Alliance Atlantis. During this time, David oversaw the sale, marketing and video manufacture of a wide range of properties from hit feature films (Lord Of The Rings trilogy, Pulp Fiction, Dirty Dancing, the Austin Powers series, Brokeback Mountain) through children’s properties (Barbie series, World Of Little Bear, Babar) to reality-based programming (National Geographic, Discovery, Nova) and broadcast derived properties (Trailer Park Boys, CSI, Queer As Folk). He regularly consulted on the acquisition and sales potential of a broad range of productions.He also has worked on genre classics such as The Crow, Blair Witch Project, the Scream series and the original Black Christmas. David is currently offering his proven expertise in both Canada and the US through his company Blue Window Media Inc.. BWMi offers script analysis, copy writing, and music production. BMW has handled everything from arranging, recording and album production to ghostwriting.
