David Patchen has over 38 years of experience within the financial services industry. During that time he has been a successful Financial Advisor, an indepent contractor advisor and owned his own independent RIA Firm. In 1995 he became COO of a nationwide independent contractor firm and nearly tripled the revenues of this firm in 2 years. At Raymond James he has served as a top recruiter for the firm in the late 90's and early 2000's, and then moved into National and Regional Sales Management in 2003. In 2013 he became SVP of Education and Practice Management for the Raymond James Private client group, supporting over 15,000 Financial Advisors and their team members worldwide.He is responsible for spearheading the industry leading practice management offering at Raymond James over the last 12 years, and has successfully coached many of the top advisors in the firm to record results. He has also played an integral role in assembling a highly talented home office team to serve and supervise advsiors and the firm.He has published articles and has been quoted in industry publications such as Research Magazine, Investment Advisor, Investment News, and On Wall Street Magazine. Dave has been a top rated guest speaker at industry conferences hosted by the Investment Management Consulting Association (IMCA), the Financial Services Institute (FSI), Stanford University Graduate School of Business, The Chartered Institute of Securties and Investment in London, UK, as well as several firm specific speaking engagements. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from The University of Florida. He is a graduate of the SII taught through the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Registered Corporate Coach with the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches® Dave holds the Series 3, 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses.
