- Worked as a subcontractor for Crosslinx’s Transit Solutions on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project in Toronto, ON. Overall project consisted of 10 km of underground track, 9 km of surface track and 25 stations and stops. WJ Groundwater was contracted to design and install the dewatering systems for the construction of several station boxes and sequential excavation method (SEM) mined stations. - Assigned to one of four SEM stations (Oakwood Station) to manage the multi-million dollar dewatering contract and oversee the procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of the dewatering system.- Dewatering requirements were to lower the water table by 18 meters in silty sand using a combination of deepwells, eductor wells and wellpoints to facilitate mining of the station cavern.- Oversight of water rotary flush, well drilling and the installation of pumps, electrical supply, headermain, and discharge arrangements. Responsible for all work to be completed safely and within spec and regulations. - Responsible for the installation and maintenance of real time monitoring systems with text message alarms, continuous data collection and online dashboards for data presentation.- Initiated the continued optimization and troubleshooting of the system based on data collected and ground conditions encountered.- Design of dewatering system components such as pump sizing, transfer pumping stations, eductor pumping stations, vacuum pumping stations, and discharge headermain sizing.- Design of structural dewatering components such as mounting brackets, pipe supports, and pump support systems. - Coordination with client (general contractor), preparation of monthly progress billing, scheduling, and labour management. - Participated in further business development including the design of dewatering schemes, drawdown modelling, costing, constructibility reviews and tendering for various stations and condo projects.
