Working with Dr Sigwan Thivierge and her community to support the revitalization of Anicinabemowin

Weekly work at a permaculture-practising poultry and vegetable farm; duties included cleaning chicken, duck, and quail enclosures, building habitats, cleaning and maintaining farm buildings and equipment, attending to irrigation needs, etc.

Acted as both a mentor and assistant teacher for an introductory coding and computer skills course, where I used multiple languages (ASL & English) and straddled several cultures (ASL Deaf, Musqueam, Anglo-Canadian, Tla'amin).

Central point at Welcome Centre front desk to aid with enquiries about the Alumni Centre and UBC as a whole in person, by telephone and over email. I assisted with projects and events, maintained data entries, troubleshooted guest and Alumni Centre problems and engaged with local efforts of reconciliation, as well as managing numerous projects of diverse timelines with a variety of clients.

Line cook for the 2016 summer session in a kosher kitchen. Assisted in meal planning, notably also preparing foods for campers with a variety of allergy needs and dietary restrictions.

Acted as secretary for the program and responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the ESL program and database, extensively using Office programmes, notably Excel, Outlook and Word. In addition, I set-up and ran variety of additional programs and events, including directing and teaching beginner-level French classes aimed predominately at non-native English speakers where I created lesson plans, worksheets, and abundant space for feedback.
