David P. Pearson represents clients throughout the United States in complex commercial litigation. The former head of the firm’s litigation department, Dave’s active trial practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, securities litigation and insurance litigation. As a part of his intellectual property litigation practice, Dave has been involved in significant trade secret misappropriation cases for numerous clients. He has litigated patent infringement claims on behalf of a wide variety of clients, and his experience in this area cuts across multiple technologies and fields of invention. Dave has successfully represented major broker-dealer firms and registered representatives in securities industry arbitration proceedings. He has tried numerous NASD arbitrations involving claims of fraud, suitability, churning and violation of industry rules. Dave has also represented broker-dealer firms in NASD and NYSE and SEC proceedings and investigations. For over 15 years he has been extensively involved in securities litigation, and has defended numerous public corporations and their directors and officers against claims of securities fraud. Dave’s practice in this area also includes representation of public companies in SEC investigations.
