Upon conclusion of the Graduate Development Framework (GDF), I 'exited' into the Head Office HR team. My primary focus is supporting the following Group wide functions: Group Strategy; Project Management, Engineering and Support Services; Operational Governance; and Group Communications.I offer typical HR Business Partner support inclusive of Talent Management, ER support, Resource Management and Organisational Design, to name a few, and led the Organisational Design and consultation process from an HR perspective for the Project Management, Engineering and Support Services function.Other areas of focus include: Leading the Head Office Annual Reward Review programme; supporting the creation of a 'single grading' structure to recognise market comparators; leading on the implementation of a new employee recognition scheme in Head Office; and supporting the HR element of GDPR implementation.I'm currently undertaking my Level 7 CIPD.

During my time on the Graduate Development Framework (GDF) at BAE Systems I underwent a 2 year programme consisting of different 'placements' around the Group.Talent Specialist - Future Capability; Applied Intelligence (Feb - July '17):Heavily focussed in the Talent space - with particular attention on Future Capability. This saw emphasis on building and executing an internal Cyber Security Programme; fine-tuning our Development Programmes and looking at wider ‘pipeline’ opportunities. HR Generalist; Head Office (Sep '16 - Feb '17):Emphasis on project managing the Q1 Annual Reward Review for the Head Office population (UK and overseas). Other activities included: leading on the enforcement and governance of our local recruitment processes in our international locations; lalent Management activities; and typical HR generalist activities to support our functions. Resourcing Specialist; Centre of Expertise (March - Sep '16):Focus on: reviewing the graduate and apprentice recruitment process - putting in place recommendations for improvements; reviewing our Diversity & Inclusion partnerships - identifying any gaps; and reviewing our UK wide contingent labour recruitment process through the building and analysis of a current 'as is' picture and then the putting forth of future recommendations.HR Generalist; Maritime Services (Sep '15 - March '16):Focus on: managing a team of change agents to deliver high quality, business wide training around the release of SuccessFactors (SAP); leading the HR resourcing activity for Naval Base Services; coordinating the HR input for the NBS Management meeting; organisational design; and a focus on stress and mental wellbeing in the workplace.Other areas of focus:Project Managing numerous HR 'Masterclasses' across the whole function; BAE Systems' Campus Manager for Durham University.

I am a qualified multi-discipline teacher, teaching the subjects of Business Studies and Economics to secondary school students aged between 14-18, with participation in extracurricular sporting activities also a key role I enjoy being involved in.The role brought great responsibility to not only develop strong relationships with staff, students and parents, but required careful planning and organisation to ensure that those in your presence could be led to their potential. My time as a teacher saw me not only utilise the skills I acquired during that period, but also saw me further develop those skills as new challenges arose on a daily basis.The skills that have been mentioned, along with many more, are skills that can be transferred to a huge variety of industries, jobs and circumstances to help produce the best results possible and leave a lasting impression.

During my time as a student, a customer service role was undertaken alongside studies which helped me further vital skills needed in a business environment - something that proved crucial during my studies as I was able to draw on past experiences to support my understanding and development in the field of business. Additionally, skills I utilised on a daily basis during this role are skills that are hugely transferrable and can be made applicable in other industries/business areas.
