I just like making interpretation fun, inspiring and engaging and that's what I try to do. I'm always up for a new idea or a new approach so long as it does the above. In my present job I've brought sculpture, stained glass, digital projection, digital technology, soundscpes, graphic art, comics, family trails to medieval castles, industrial sites, tudor houses and prehistoric remains. Some are World Heritage Sites!Prior to this, whilst in local government, I worked on challenging coalfield sites in the south Wales valleys. Working with photographic artists, poets, sculptors, dry stone wallers, designers and not least, retired colliers, we coloured the old coal tips from black to green. I even tried PG Tips Tea inspired interpretation. I developed a series of practical 'souvenir' walking guides in a range designed to appeal to beginners right up to experts. Thanks to all my old pals in the Lee Valley Regional Park for showing me the potential of interpretation.I've been doing this since 1989 after leaving Seale Hayne Agricultural College (RIP) :-(Prior to that I drove a tank in Germany!.
