About David Pendergrass

Ephesians 2:1-10I am a Christian, saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. God saved me for good works that He prepared in advance for me to walk in. He made me an ecologist and teacher and I have sought to glorify God and enjoy Him through these skills for over 40 years. My passions and profession are aligned: creation stewardship and service to the widow, orphan, and poor using science as a tool, Scripture for wisdom, and relying on the Holy Spirit for strength.I have surveyed aquatic fauna in a crater lake in Ethiopia, grown herb gardens on blankets in urgan garden demonstrations, and developed optimized methods for purifying filthy water in Cambodia using moringa seed. I have mentored many young scientists, home and abroad, to thrive in their specialties. Prayer is my breath. Speaking with Jesus and about Jesus with others as I work is natural because "for me to live is Christ."Using the scientific method to unlock creation's mysteries and solve ecological problems to improve the lives of the destitute is a delight that energizes me in the workplace. I'm a team player and function most effectively in a collaborative environment where innovative ideas are given serious consideration.
