Manage and maintain quality systems per ISO standards.Maintained calibration log of necessary equipment, coordinated calibration with outside source of necessary equipment. Used Oracle on demand to determine consistent failure modes and identify areas for improvement, 80/20 concept. Employed 6 sigma concepts (fish bone diagrams, 5 why analysis, etc.) to trouble shoot and problem solve. Managed a quality team of 6 employees to identify and resolve quality related issues.

Coordinated, assisted and tracked $1.4 million in lean improvements

Worked on poka-yoke fixturing to improve ease of use and reliability from the technicians.Lean facilitator for NC plant, worked with Buffalo management team to improve NC facility by determining takt time, staffing calculations and cell output per day based on customer demand.Worked with NC State IES on implementing Lean 100, value stream mapping and multiple kaizen events in the NC facility.Saved approximately 90sq.ft. of space in one product line with a decrease in cycle time of the cell from 17 minutes/piece to 10 minutes/piece which provides the possibility of an estimated $270,000 with increased sales.Facilitated the implementation of inventory supermarket system to control WIP and lower the lead time to a goal of less than 10 days for the force/torque dept. The concept was then adopted in other areas of inventory throughout the plant. Implemented WIP limiting process in the service groups to control flow of product through service groups using the pull of the customer.
