Experienced Vice President, Research Development with a demonstrated history of working in the food production industry. Strong research professional skilled in Food Technology, Food & Beverage, Food Processing, Sensory Evaluation, and Food Science. Twenty-five years of experience in the food and dairy industry has allowed me to lead and work with teams involving; R&D, technical services, QA/EHS, operations, procurement, and finance. Interaction within these groups has allowed me to develop expertise in directing the development of new processing technologies and optimizing existing production technologies. I have been able to interact with sales and marketing groups to lead the development of new value added products, product line extensions and manage the overall innovation pipeline. I have been able to consistently provide scientific and technical oversight for several disciplines including, commercial, marketing, finance, operations, and quality.In August of 2019 I was asked to lead the R&D effort for Edible Films and Edible Glitter. Glanbia Nutritionals acquisition of Watson Inc. will provide strong synergies and edible films and glitter continues to emerge as a key technology for delivering key ingredients into various food systems, oral and health care applications, in addition to providing visual cues in a wide range of food products and other applications.
