    We run Mental Health Groups for Men & Ladies of all ages. We provide free weekly drop-in Groups in East Calder Partnership Centre and organise activities to ease people into being able to open-up. These activities include a weekly game of 5-a-side football, monthly outdoors walks, hill-walks, cinema visits, go-karting trips and also seniors trips. We are in the process of registering with OSCR to gain full charity status so we can help many more people who are struggling. Our volunteers are the backbone of the operation and we would be lost without them, they are helping us grow our network of support Groups at the same times as raising awareness in promoting positive Mental Health. The NHS and Health In Mind now officially signpost people to our support Groups due to the success of people being able to relate to one-another’s issues, this helps them feel relief instead of feeling alone. We are looking to secure proper funding once registered officially but in the interim we have full and transparent accounts for everything. We have future plans to help Children proactively with Play Therapy and want to deliver Children’s Mental Health First Aid Kits into schools to help them embrace and understand their emotions, especially after potential childhood trauma. Our main source of income aside from fundraising shall be from helping Businesses understand Mental Health in the Workplace. If you look after your staff’s Mental Health & Wellbeing this can protect your staff, their families and also your profits. In turn, becoming a ‘Mental Health Approved’ business can help with securing tenders and showing your clients that you are a caring employer.
