I have been the principal horn with RCB since its beginning in 1981. RCB maintains a successful concert series in the Pittsburgh area in seven locations. They have also toured extensively in the the United States. A notable tour occurred in 1988 when RCB, along with the Texas Boys Choir and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, toured Australia to help them celebrate their bicentennial. May 2013, RCB had a successful tour to Italy performing in 4 cities with rave reviews. In 1994, RCB commissioned Mr. Philip Sparke to compose a horn concerto especially for me. The world premiere occurred in March 1995. I enjoy the warm, friendly atmosphere performing with my friends and hope to continue with the band and its conductor, Dr. James Gourlay, for many more years to come.

The Carnegie Brass Quintet has performed recitals and given masterclasses since 1981. Notable performances occurred at Carnegie Recital Hall, New York City and Lincoln Center, Washington DC. Pittsburgh Concert Society winners in 1981, they are still in great demand as guest artists in the Pittsburgh and surrounding area. In February 2014, they will perform as guest artists with the First Presbyterian Church Fine Arts Series in Lakeland, Florida. The Carnegie brass is also proud to be the quintet of choice with the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

Since 1975, I have taught privately in the Pittsburgh and surrounding area. Several students of mine have become successful in the music industry as performers and educators. I have conducted numerous masterclasses with the River City Brass while on tour. In May 2013, I composed and presented a seminar about the history of American Music to visiting students from Thailand with the Upper St. Clair School District. I have also written and performed smaller music programs as a guest speaker/soloist geared to people of all ages.
