The surgery had lost its contract following CQC inspection, rated as inadequate in all categories.My task was to recruit an entire team to the surgery, clinical and non-clinical, work and liaise with NHSE and CCG regarding KPI, finances, and performance monitoring as well as preparing the practice for the return inspection from the CQC. These were all achieved with the full team recruited and in place by March 2016 with long term locums providing clinical stability in the interim. QOF achievement was improved to 63% by the end of March 2015 with child imms, vaccinations and other public health indicators also showing marked improvement. At the return inspection from the CQC in January 2015, the practice was awarded a rating of Good across all categories.
