I am a strategic business and community leader and serve as an independent board director and consultant to several private employee-owned engineering firms and non-profit organizations. I am passionate about learning as well as helping people and organizations realize their full potential.In 2019 I retired from Tighe & Bond after a 31 year career there, serving as President and CEO for the last 13 years. I was responsible for executive team leadership including company vision, strategy, and growth, and the development and implementation of the firm’s strategic plan. My role included business and financial management, marketing and business development, recruiting of strategic hires, corporate communications, and driving the company's culture. My educational background and the earlier part of my career were devoted to water resources engineering, specializing in solving water supply, treatment, and distribution problems for municipal and private water utilities. My experience encompasses all technical and managerial phases of project development including planning, treatment process evaluation, design, and construction administration. Prior to joining Tighe & Bond, I was a project engineer for a large Boston-based consulting engineering firm, and worked on numerous water supply, treatment, and distribution projects.
