In this role I am involved in unit trust reconciliations. This involves correcting reconciliation breaks for funds that have had incorrect distributions paid into them. In other words making good previous errors and through manual calculations correcting the systems by creating journals.

I receipt cheques through a queue based system on FAST using AWD. I resolve all issues with the cheques or the deals placed relating to new business. These items are placed in the hold queue and put on the liaison spreadsheet for action to be taken by operations.Along with new business from operations I also receipt cash2 works items and utisaswitch work items. Please look below for how these items are receipted.I also qc fund managers distributions and rsf rejects. This involves dishonouring rsf's (direct debit payments to ips), when the money has not been paid for the units to keep accurate records.

I moved units of stocks and shares funds from a duplicate open account into the correct open account. In this I quality controlled other peoples work, trained and signed people off as competent on the process etc. This is done using bespoke in-house platform called IPS using their internal system called FAST. As a qcer I do checking of the de-dupe process to ensure it is in line with CASS and email various teams if amendments need to be make to the customers accounts.

In this time I work on the cases where a project called de-dupe (that I worked on when I was a platform analyst and de-dupe sh (small holdings), had been given loyalty bonus for their investment funds when they should have had one, but don't and vicar versa.Also In this time I worked on Tax year end, which basically is receipting deals that are placed on FAST (*see from platform analyst position) using contour (IPS new sales are placed for adviser fees, fee models, fund distributions, auto sale down, and personal isa limit remaining). I receipt the deals through a receipting package called FSU. By doing this the checks are banked by the third party banking supplier. Also I was trained to work DEALAMEND's, as the name suggests they are used to amend deals. It can be anything e.g. UT ISA switch, sales, direct debit payments, pricing differences (if the deal fails to meet vp (valuation point). Basically could be anything like wrong funds were placed for client or wrong amounts in any fund that a deal has been placed for. During this time I was awarded performer of the week for "good overall worker". I was very accurate, fast and always happy to help if people needed help.

I designed a SIPP payroll master spread sheet, which would auto populate the tabs of the pay role dates with how much each client would be paid, in such a way that it is not possible for them to exceed their GAD limit, all payments of their drawdown are equal and wrote a process document explaining what needs updating every year e.g. GAD limits end year dates of pay runs and how to update the VBA macro to update all the tabs at once.
