Responsible for detailed substation design, utility interfaces, specifications, detailed cost estimations and tender adjudications for a new, brown-field 275 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation.

- Secondment to ElectraNet (2008), Adelaide, SA, ElectraNet. Senior engineer and technical author. Responsible for 275kV substation feasibility studies.- Jacinth-Ambrosia Mineral Sands Mine (2007–2008), Eucla Basin, SA, Iluka Resources. Power station package manager. Responsible for feasibility study and design of 33kV reticulation to remote borefields.

Secondment to Scottish Power, UK. as Asset Management Senior Engineer.- Responsible for the co-ordination of engineering activities associated with the design, specification, planning and costing of various transmission, distribution and large scale windfarm connection projects.- Carried out feasibility studies, produced tender specifications, reviewed contractors tenders and provided engineering support throughout the construction / commissioning phases.

- Resident Engineer for project enabling works at Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL). Works comprised re-routing of 33 kV cables and installation of 11 kV/LV package substations for construction supplies.- Project Manager for the installation/upgrade of fifteen 11kV Diesel Generation/Switching Stations for Presidential Palaces and Hospitals within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, site capacities ranging from 4.5 MVA to 15 MVA. New equipment installed included 11 kV switchgear, Transformers, 11 kV Cable, Diesel Generators, SCADA and civil works.- Technical assessment against fire insurance of damaged 11 kV switchgear at Jordan Phosphate Mining Company works. The assessment was carried out on behalf of Gab Robins Middle East, Chartered Loss Adjusters.- Project Manager for the installation of 36 Nos 33 kV/11 kV package substations, 10 Nos additonal transformers at existing primary substations, 80 km 33 kV underground cables and 14 Nos 11kV, 5MVAr capacitor banks. The complete works were installed on a fast track, 12-month programme, ready for peak loads in year 2000/2001 at Al Ain, UAE.- Project Co-ordination of site surveys, design studies and preparation of supply/installation specifications for equipment required to meet urgent Summer 2000/2001 loads in Al Ain area, UAE.- Project Manager for W17/3 132/11 kV substation and the refurbishment of 11 kV switchgear at W2 substation, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

- Circuit Design, Abu Dhabi (1998-1999): Circuit design of 33/11 kV switchgear modifications for SCADA indication and control signals.- Railway Supply Network, Hong Kong (1998-1999): Earth fault study for a 33/11 kV ac railway supply network. Custom software was written to work in tandem with commercial earthing software to facilitate automated data entry and analysis.- Utility Claims, Qatar (1998): Review of a number of claims against a utility, which had been submitted by a major contractor. The claims were for financial compensation resulting from variations and delays in the recent construction of several 66/11 kV substations.- Asset Valuation, UK (1997-1998): Asset review of 400 kV, 275 kV and 132 kV circuit breakers, on behalf of Scottish Power. Generic defects were studied and a condition assessment was conducted based on statistical data. The final report included recommendations for the replacement/refurbishment of circuit breakers.- Earthing Survey Reports, UK (1997): Earthing Studies for a number of open terminal EHV substations on behalf of the National Grid Company.- Secondment to Scottish Power, UK (1996-1997): responsible for the co-ordination of engineering activities associated with the design, specification, planning and costing of transmission projects. Preparation of System Construction Authorisation Documentation prior to tender specifications and conducted investigations into the requirements of 25 kV ac railway supplies.• GIS Substation, Malawi (1996): Tender adjudication report for a 132 kV GIS substation.• Due Diligence Survey, Sweden (1996): Due diligence survey of 132 kV, 40 kV and 10 kV substations on behalf of BZW.
